Core subjects definitions

Items in the eTekkatho library are assigned to one or more subject headings and sub-headings. The table below shows you how each subject is defined. These definitions are designed to help you explore the library and find the resources you need. You can click on the subject heading to drill down through the sub-headings to the individual resources.

As we continue to build the eTekkatho library, the coverage within each of these subject headings will increase and additional sub-headings may be added. Coverage exists for all the subject areas shown below.

	Educational policy	Rules and guidelines for educational systems, educational standards, school inspections and the effectiveness of educational policy
	Educational technology	Use of technology in the classroom, elearning, learning technology and its educational applications
	Earth sciences	Climatology *	The study of climate including climate systems, climate change, climate records, climate patterns and indices, and climate modelling

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are included in both Earth sciences and Physical geography.
